Sam was staring blankly into space when alice came over to him. She startled him a little, and he spilt a bit of orange juice on his tray. fortunately for him, none spilt elsewhere.
"Oh, jeez... sorry, you startled me a little bit" said Sam, as he returned from his daydream. He noticed his hand was shaking a little.
"Oh, I'm, er..." he mumbled nervously, and sighed. "...It's a long story. You got some time? I don't want to bore you, mind!" he chuckled, trying to raise his spirit, and brushed his untidy blue hair from his face.

"Hmm?" replied Sam, and then looked up.
"Oh, my hair! sorry to surprise you, but it is naturally this colour!" said Sam, with a look on his face that seemed as if he had tol this story several times.
At that moment however, his expression dropped.
"None of my parents had blue hair though... makes you wonder doesnt it - Were they really my parents?" he said softly and solemnly, as he nibbled at his sandwich. He seemed saddenned.

Zack re-entered the room when the annoucements came up.
"It is now 8:30 PM. Please go to your dorms within the next half hour so you can get a good night's sleep for your first day of school tomorrow."
"...Damn it." Zack went back to his dorm, and seeing as he was tired anyway he went to sleep.

Alice wanted to comfort Sam is some way but didn't wanna seem to foreward. She smiled sweetly. "I'm sure it was a reccesive gene." She heard the annoucement and stood. "Well I'm ginig to bed. Good night."

"Hey, Alice," sam said as she was going.
"Th... thanks for talking to me, by the way. It means a lot to me!" Sam smiled sweetly ad Alice, and grabbed his jacket, and went to go back to the dormitory.
"Sleep well!" he called out to anyone who was listening.

Alice smiled as she walked back to her dorm. She changed into her pajamas and did a bit of reading before she went to bed.

Samual stopped in front of his dormitory door, and looked at the number.
"108... there has to be some deep meaning to this... it just feels like it does... meh, probably the lack of sleep making me think funny!" he chuckled under his breath, and changed into his pyjamas. He greeted Hampy, who was sleeping like a brick still.
"I hope no-one finds him... sweet dreams Hampy," he whispered sweetly, as he went into bed and relaxed, reflecing on the day as he did every night for the past 3 years.
"This place," yawned Sam, "might just turn out alright..." he murmured as he drifted slowly off to sleep, where his dreams were uninterrupted.

NEXT MORNING!
Alice woke up early and got ready fo class. She headed downstairs and ordered a hot tea and a bagel for breakfeast. She ate as she read her book.

Zack got out of the shower after his daily morning mile sprint/spar. He dressed, and went down to breakfast. He ordered some scrambled eggs and some bacon, saw Alice and sat down next to her.
