Matt sighed. "Is that why...? And what's this, -Matt used his fingers to do the quotation symbols in mid air- 'hard way'?" He said, showing some displeasure.

"Goddamn Orion80..." Jake said quietly, as he sat - lotus style - behind everyone. "Yeah I've heard of it. Nasty piece of coding anathema it is...." Jake sighed heavilly.
"So, you somehow 'downloaded' us through real life, 'digitized' us, and brought us here?" he said, seemingly unfazed by the whole thing, but his fists were clenched, trenbling slightly in unease.
"Yeah, I'd like to know the 'hard way' too. Ihave an idea - but I'd hope its not what I'm thinking..."

Lana cleared her throat and looked around at the others as she sighed heavily. She slumped down to the floor and sat with her legs sprawled out. "We better not have to fight it ourselves...while in the computer, as we are at the moment..." Lana mumbled and stared, distressed, at Mac's face on the screen.

Mac cocked his head and sighed heavily. "Well Lana, you're right unfortunately...but it won't be all fist fights and bloody knuckles. You'll get weapons, each specifically encoded to you so that only you can use it. I'll bring the weapons out in a second, but meanwhile, everyone hold out your left arm." he said, typing something again.
Tessa sighed and raised her arm. "Now what...?" she muttered.
Mac entered something in the computer and a solid, silver metal brace of sorts materialized around their wrists. "It will give you readings...all of them are different. Tessa's has a short-range radar that will detect uh, dangers, Matt's will heal small amounts of damage, Jake's will reprogram data, and Lana's will power all of you up for a super-charged attack. They're all very important, so don't let them break or be destroyed."

Lana grinned and looked down at her wrist. "Shweet...I like mine..." She said proudly. "Thanks Mac-Man. When do we start?" She asked, getting slightly anxious.

Matt laughed. "Interesting. Any other weapons?" He examined the brace with interest.

Mac nodded. "Ah yes..." He typed up something else and four stands rose from the egde of the circle next to each of them with different weapons of sorts.
"They're all The New Virus Hunter 9000 edition. The best of their kind. Go ahead and pick them up; get used holding them. Feel free to test them out as well. They'll only hurt viruses and bugs."
Tessa picked up a pair of what looked like automatic pistols. "This is just like a video game...crazy..."

Jake approached the pillar his bracelet was drawing him to.
"Reprogram data, huh...?" he said under his breath, as he stopped and looked at the twin daggers, and the bag. He picked up his twin daggers, and looked at them in awe for a few moments, and then he sheathed them in his belt. He picked up the bag. "What in the name of..." his voice trailed off and he shook his head, sighing.
He opened the bag and found a laptop - nothing seemed to be differrent about it.
"So, Mac, whats the notebook for?" he asked, vis voiced filled with intregue and confusion.

Lanna looked down at a long gun that looked much like a rifle with a thin body structure. On the base of the gun read, "Beretta U22 NEOS Carbine - Semi-Auto". There were two more little hand guns which read, "COBRAY M11 - Fully Automatic". She picked up the Carbine and held it up, looking at it. "Dude...this gun is wicked awesome..." She fit it under her arm and looked through the target circle, aiming over at Tessa. "Hey, Tessa...Think fast!" She said quickly and fired. The gun fired off completely silent and Lana grinned. "I liiike..." She said, staring at the rifle in her hands. Noticing a loop on her back she slipped the rifle in, a perfect fit. She also noticed two slots for the handguns on her belt.

Matt picked up his weapons in the bag. "Gauntlets... And Gauntlet cannons? Sweet!" He put them on and punched the ground, which shook it and left behind a few traces of angel feathers.
"Now I can fully use my martial arts training!" Said Matt happily, admiring his gauntlets.

Lana took one of the handguns from their holsters and admired it. "It's so...pretty." She beamed.

Jake opened the bag and switched on the laptop. It booted up, and he ghovered his mouse over the main drive to see it was full - completely and utterly full (not one remaining bit of memory remianed).
"Mac... when do you ever tidy this drive up? Because its full to the brim! And why a laptop?" he asked the screen, awaiting Mac's response as he twirled (and subsequently dropped) one of his twin daggers.

Mac grinned as the four hunters tried out their weapons. "Ah, yes, the notebook. Jake, you hold one of the most important weapons. This notebook will not only transform into a machine gun, but as a computer itself, it will download upgrades for you and your weapons as I create of find them. The only set backs are, you may only use the downloading feature here, at the desktop, because it the only safe place that will allow enough time for an uninterrupted download, and the second set back is, because of the file sizes of weapons and file size restrictions, you'll need to constantly keep the filespace up on the notebook's hardrive, otherwise it drains and renders it useless. Oh, I still have to explain the health system we've set up here."
Tessa, who was jokingly firing back at Lana, looked up. "That's not all?"
Mac shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. Take a look at your braces again. There's a little cover that you can flip up there."
Tessa raised her wrist again and flipped up the cover. "Ooo...what are the bar and all the numbers for?" she asked.
"Well the bar is your current health. As it gets lower, the bar size will decrease and it will gradually go from green to yellow to red. The numbers next to it are like hit points in a game, the one on the left of the slash is how many you have left. Whatever you do, don't let it reach zero. Should that hapen, you would have been logged off and sent back, but the virus has corrupted and destroyed important parts of the program that would have allowed me to do that."
Tessa glared at the screen. "You mean we're stuck here? What happens if we do reach zero?"
Mac sighed. "You're not necissarily stuck here. When Orion80 has been destroyed, I'll be able to reprogram, but until then, if your health meter reaches zero, you'll be deleted. And when I say 'deleted', I mean, you will cease to exist. There is a way to heal damage as well. As mentioned, Matt's brace will heal a wound before your eyes if he places his hand over it and commands the brace to heal. That will only work for small amounts of damage on the field though because of the time restrictions. Healing is like a slow process of system restoring. If you want to do it for larger amounts of time and for larger amounts of damage, come back here and I'll set you up."
Tessa nodded, then sighed. 'This is going to be one hell of an adventure...'

Matt yawned. "I'll wake up and find this to be one kickass dream, but still, I'll enjoy it to the end..." He grinned.
"So I get to heal also, I hope I can help." He said, bowing slightly.
