Well I was originally going to post about thread about my depression but in the middle of it I got a call from an old friend that I haven't talked to in AGES! I talked to her for over 3 hours and made me realize some things. So yeah now afterwards I have forgotten about my depression and I'm interested in more important things
How often do you realize how in-depth another person is? Most of the time we get to know a single side to a person and get a singular image of them in our mind. We then continue to judge them from that view.
How often do we actually take the time to truly understand that person's feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and memories? One of the most beautiful things about humans is their amount of complexity. We prejudge each other all the time without realizing it. We may find an action that some one takes to be irrational and senseless but if we had lived their lives ourselves then we would have also came to the same action. A lot of things go into making the human souls. All kinds of feelings combined with past experiences which lead to beliefs and ideals factor into other people's choices.
That’s another thing. Sometime other have less of a choice then we think they have. I would like to say all humans have freedom of thought and can ALWAYS make a choice but there are certain factors that cause us to be less able to make a choice and then we must only fellow a command.
It is just amazing how angry we get at each other for minor conflicts when most of the time these conflicts come about from a misunderstanding of each other. I believe that everyone in this world completely understood other people complete lives and reasons behind choices and action then the amount of conflict in the world would become almost non-existent!
Not saying that is possible. It's against human nature. The above paragraph is just a fantasy of paradise but still the concept is true! Humans can never reach perfection and we can never create paradise but I believe that every human being should always try to come as close as possible to achieving both goals, hence the theory of evolution.
I guess the "moral" of the story is just really put yourself in other's shoes before you judge them. Now I know we have all heard that B.S. since grade school but I hope my explanation makes it seems more reasonable and actually has some effect. What do you all think?
