This is a very thouchy subject I think so be prepared for that. Has a lot to do with life and death so don't read if you paranoid about those things.
Has anyone ever thought of why we all live? If I died tomorrow would it matter. I mean sure I always think people give a damn if I died and some would even be happy but I mean deeper then that. If my loved ones do cry for me and miss me, why does it acturally matter. We live and then we all die. When we die our past, present, and future are practically erased all togather. Eventurally we will be forgotten. Our achievements might create a long legacy but they could become useless.
So if we know that the end will come and every action we take and every word we say will eventurally become meaningless, why do we still live? Why do we wake up, eat, socialize, go to school, work? It will eventurally have no effect.
I believe that if everybody had these thoughts there would be mass-panic and anarchy! The human lifespan would probably decrease by a lot. I believe this is the reason relgion and the afterlife were invented. To make people believe thier actions will matter. But what about atheists? We don't have the peace of mind or sercurity in knowing that there acturally is an afterlife. So what do we live for?
Well I came to a resonable conclusion a while ago during my suicidal phase. I believe every human has thier own reason and drive to live. A reason why they can't die yet. Or perhaps some goal they must acomplish before thier death. Ever since I realized this and choose my reason to live I haven't been suicidal since. I think every person should realize and understand the reason they want to live! You are less prone to suicide if you acturally have and know something to live for.
Any one have any opinions or feedback?
